Wow! First time ordering from here and it was absolutely so fantastic and tasty! Portions are Unreal! I bought a slice of chocolate cake looks like a whole Cake! And the chicken salad sandwich croissant with chicken velvet soup and refreshing raspberry tea! Yum!

On 8/29/2026 Kristal Graybiel had this to say:
There is so much to love about Ruby's Cafe & Bakery. Pam has created something that is about so much more than really good food—although the food alone is absolutely worth the trip! One of my favorite things about Ruby’s is the way they have preserved little pieces of Anderson’s history through food. Pam brought back special recipes from beloved Anderson restaurants that are no longer here, including the Cabbage Rose and Dorothy Blevins’ Tea Cart. There is something really special about being able to taste something you remember from years ago—or experience a little piece of Anderson history that you may have missed the first time around. My personal favorites are the chicken salad and the chicken velvet soup, and the baked goods are completely out of this world. Seriously! They even have FLIGHTS of dessert!!! I also have to mention the servers. They are always so sweet and welcoming and really add to the whole experience. There’s a genuine friendliness there that makes you want to sit awhile, enjoy your lunch, and come back again. The building itself is part of the experience. Ruby’s is inside the beautiful old building many of us associate with Judge Newman, but its history goes back even further—it was originally built as a church in 1927. Pam and Dave have helped give this incredible old Anderson building another life, and I love that it is once again a place where people gather. And I have definitely gathered there! I’ve been to several tea parties and special events at Ruby’s, including a style show, and they are always so much fun. We even took our high school students there on a field trip once, and they loved it. I think that says a lot about the kind of place Pam has created—it can feel special and nostalgic to an adult and still completely charm a group of teenagers. There’s also another little surprise inside: ThymeStamp Boutique, where you can wander through unique finds before or after you eat. So give yourself a little extra time when you go! Pam and the owner of ThymeStamp, Shelly, are also both incredibly active in our community, which makes supporting their businesses feel even better. They aren't simply operating businesses in our city—they are participating in and contributing to the community around them. Ruby’s is the kind of place I love having in Anderson: good food, history, beautiful surroundings, community, and people who genuinely care about this city. Go for lunch, go for a tea or special event, browse the boutique—and whatever you do, save room for something from the bakery.
